Suppliers answer once
The companies that make your boxes and labels use the same supplier portal as your materials suppliers, free and without a password.
The Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR) applies since 12 August 2026: the brand on the box signs an EU declaration of conformity for every packaging type. Collect your suppliers' data, check each PPWR requirement and sign, in the same place you run your product passports.

How it works
One packaging type, one declaration, shared by every product packed in it.
Each box, insert, film and label with its material, weight and recycled content. Totals are worked out for you.
Packaging suppliers send their component data and test results, or drop in their spec sheets and Veribl fills in the values from them.
Heavy metals, PFAS for food packaging, recyclable design and re-use, each shown as met or missing.
Sign the declaration, then print or save it as a PDF in any of the 24 EU languages for importers, retailers and authorities.
The obligations of Regulation (EU) 2025/40 that apply since 12 August 2026 without waiting for further EU acts, and how Veribl covers each.
| Rule | What it asks | In Veribl |
|---|---|---|
| Article 39, Annex VIII | One signed EU declaration of conformity per packaging type | Built from your packaging data, signed by your team, kept with every version |
| Article 15, Annex VII | Technical documentation, kept 5 years (10 for reusable packaging) | Components, results and supplier documents in one place per packaging |
| Article 5(4) | Lead, cadmium, mercury and hexavalent chromium together at most 100 mg/kg | Checked per packaging, with the highest value any supplier reports |
| Article 5(5) | PFAS limits for packaging in contact with food | Asked of food-contact packaging and its suppliers |
| Article 6(1) | Packaging designed to be recyclable | Confirmed per packaging before you sign |
| Article 11, Annex VI | Re-use requirements for reusable packaging | Confirmed per reusable packaging before you sign |
Recyclability grades, harmonized labels and recycled-content targets apply once the EU adopts their implementing acts. This is general information, not legal advice.
