Explore digital manualsCribs, strollers and high chairs come with strict US registration rules. Here’s how 16 CFR 1130 works, and how Veribl gives parents assembly guides, answers and warranty registration from a QR code, kept apart from the safety registration.
Product registration for baby and juvenile products is a manufacturer’s record of who owns each product, which US law requires for durable infant or toddler products so parents can be reached in a recall or safety alert. A postage-paid card comes attached to the product, with online registration offered alongside it.
Registration data may be used only to contact owners about a recall or safety alert.
A QR code can link straight to registration, but it doesn’t replace the attached card.
Records are kept for at least six years after the date of manufacture.
The CPSC rule for durable infant or toddler products, in four parts.
Each covered product ships with a registration card attached, which parents can mail back for free.
The card must also offer online registration. A QR code may link to it, but never replaces the card.
Name, address, optional phone and email, model name and number, and date of manufacture. Nothing else on the form.
The data is used only for recalls and safety alerts, kept for six years and provided to CPSC within 24 hours of a request.
A separate, opt-in experience next to your safety registration, never on it.
Print a Veribl code on the product label, the packaging or the printed instructions. The safety registration card keeps its own route.
A scan opens your branded product page in the browser, with step-by-step assembly and care guides and AI answers from your manuals.
Parents can put their warranty on record with proof of purchase, as a separate step from the safety registration.
Product tips and review requests go only to parents who opted in on the product page, never to safety registrants.
Instructions that are easier to follow than the paper copy, and answers that come from your own manuals.
Step-by-step guides on the parent’s phone, updated in one place when something changes. They complement the warnings on the product and the printed instructions, never replace them. NHTSA’s National Child Restraint Use Special Study estimated overall car seat misuse at 46%, which is why clear instructions matter.
